I have read substantial chunks of Kmenta’s book, but I doubt that I will ever sit down and undertake the daunting task of reading it from start to finish.

As a textbook, Elements of Econometrics is intended for upper-level undergraduate and master’s degree courses and may usefully serve as a supplement for traditional Ph. For those of us who are often forced to work on or just beyond the borders of our readily available statistical knowledge, this text is well worth the price.
