The naming of the computer ‘God’ at Midland seems deeply ironic. Love The Red Queen: Quotes from Qheen Red Queen. Elspeth remains a dear character, and her world continues to grasp at me. Sorry, your blog cannot share posts by email.

The Red Queen (The Obernewtyn Chronicles, #7) by Isobelle Carmody

If you have read the other books you already know all this. The Red Queen is dull and predictable. Jul 31, Renee V rated it really liked it Shelves: I enjoyed this book. Dec 05, Sarah isobells it it was ok.

The problems I had with it – The writing was not up to scratch. Somewhat poorly written, I was very bored reading much of the first half.

Also by Isobelle Carmody. I have never seen so many pointless and inappropriate exclamation points. Parts that should have been important info were over in a few pages while utterly pointless rambling and asides were given hundreds of pages. After years spent struggling to balance her desires with her responsibilities, Elspeth Gordie has fully embraced her role as the Seeker. The exploration of the ravaged landscape and the piecing together of clues combined with rushing headlong into the unknown and hoping it would pan out okay for her quest was also familiar and very enjoyable.

OverallI find that this is probably one of the best Sci-fi fantasy stories set in a distant future written by an Australian author, yet first qjeen back in like idk the eightiess??? I deserve to know what happened to characters I had been reading about for nearly 20 years.

Loading comments… Trouble loading? I don’t know, it simply felt way too long in places that didn’t need isobbelle be long and then rushed in areas that I was genuinely drawn into.

I isohelle keep re-reading. All the characters you hope from the previous books seem to be in it and most one way or another get either what they deserve or at least a taste of it! Yes, the plot was very slow, especially the whole pages in habitat and midland an interesting plot but not enough relevance to the questwhich went on for way too long credit to Elspeths “gnawings” however after arriving at Redport, I couldn’t put it down with the incentive that I would soon get answers to the growing list of questions perpetrating my mind.

I have reread the entire series How good quen ebooks!!!! And isn’t that what people say? Read, enjoy, and tell me what you think.

I have had the Red Queen for 2 years without starting it until last week as I also could not bear it to end. Nov 19, Rachel rated it it was ok. Dragon- totally new character really with no explanation of the change.
